Geranium Essential Oil (EO) is highly effective in soothing irritated skin, promoting wound healing, and maintaining overall skin health. Perfect choice for stopping infections in their tracks!

Especially for breastfeeding mums, geranium can prevent further developing breast infection, known as mastitis—inflamed and tender breasts with pain. Its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties can provide relief and speed up healing.

  • HOW TO USE

    1. Dilute! Dilute! Dilute!

EOs are highly concentrated extracts. Their potency can be too strong when directly applied to the skin. So, always dilute your EOs and diluting doesn't reduce the potency, it actually helps the overall effectiveness, making them gentler on the skin.

Mix a small amount of the essential oil with your favourite carrier oil, like olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, jojoba oil or rosehip oil. The guideline is to use 1–2 drops of essential oil per teaspoon of carrier oil.

Safe the hassle of diluting with our Organic Milk Booster EO blend! Our very own pre-diluted essential oils (EOs) blend with pure Fennel, Geranium, and Lavender EO from Young Living, and Organic Jojoba Oil for dilution.

We've made sure it's super gentle and less likely to irritate your skin. So, it's safe to be applied directly to your skin. Purchase it here.

    2. Do A Patch Test

Everyone has a different level of skin sensitivity. For some, even diluted EO can irritate the skin. If this happens, discontinue use & seek advice from your doctor or qualified aromatherapist.

    • Select a small area—free from any cuts, scratches, or existing skin conditions. It can be behind your wrist or the inner forearm and make sure it's clean.
    • Apply a small amount of the diluted EO to the chosen area. Leave it on for 24–48 hours.
    • Observe for any signs of irritation, redness, itching, swelling, or discomfort. If the reactions are severe, wash off the area quickly.
    • After 24–48 hours, remove the patch and if you notice any signs, avoid using that particular EO.

If you want to test multiple essential oils, you can repeat the process, but always allow a few days between each test to ensure your skin barrier is not compromised and for accurate results.

Exercise caution, especially if you have sensitive skin or existing health conditions.

    3. Ways Of Application

Apply the diluted EO to your breasts, avoiding the nipple and gently massage to promote circulation. Rinse EO from your breast before feeding your baby.

Add a few drops of diluted EO to a warm compress & apply it to the breast before nursing or pumping. The warm compress will soothe & relieve discomfort.

Use a diffuser to spread the soothing scent of geranium oil in your living space. It's your perfect companion for getting into that relaxed milk letdown mindset.

Create a room or pillow spray by mixing a few drops of geranium oil with water in a spray bottle. You can lightly mist your pillow before bedtime to promote restful sleep.

Add 4 drops of EO and 1 cup of Epsom salt to your bath for a relaxing and soothing soak.

    4. Cautions

Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition, consult a health professional before use.

This EO is meant for external use only, so steer clear of eyes and mucous membranes. Safety first!
